I'd like to wish all my blog readers a very Happy Holiday weekend.
Chocolate Krispie Nests
200g dark chocolate
100g rice krispies
chocolate mini eggs
Break the chocolate into a bowl and stand it over a pan of gently simmering hot water until the chocolate is melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the krispies. Mix thoroughly until all the krispies are well coated. Put it into paper cases and pop the mini egg onto the mixture while still melted. I made some small krispie bites as well as the full size chocolate krispies.
I am entering my Chocolate Krispie Nests for this month's Teatime Treats the food blogger challenge run by Kate at What Kate Baked, who is hosting this month and Karen at Lavender and Lovage
I used to melt a Cadburys Creme Egg and use this to make my crispies!! And I have to make these for my Random Recipes of all things!! Yours look so sweet especially with the little eggs nested in there. Very sweet. Happy Easter xx
ReplyDeleteReally pretty presentation. I love simple little nests like this - I usually use shredded wheat to make them more nest-like (but no good for your guest!). I'm sure your guest will be really pleased that you've catered for them!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that really does take me back. Last time I had those I think I was at least 35 years younger!
ReplyDeleteAnd they were nothing like as pretty as your version Janice
What a fun and cute idea!
